Swineshead is twinned with la Milesse Sarthe, France

The twinning charter was signed in 1987 at Swineshead and in 1988 at La Milesse.

La Milesse is a delightful village, with a mix of buildings old and new, with renovated civic areas to give a vibrant appearance to the place. Local shops and schools serve the people and there is considerable industry around Le Mans to provide employment in addition to the farming in the area.
