Kutna Hora is a town in the Czech Republic.

It was a very prosperous town some 300 years ago, being the centre for silver mining. It is situated to the East of Prague the capital at a distance of around 60 Kilometer.

 


St Barbara's Cathedral

Founded in medieval times it boasts such wonderful Baroque architecture that it ranks on the UNESCO world heritage list.


Kutna Hora had silver mines and the picture shows silver coins being stamped in the old way.
