North Hykeham is twinned with Denzlingen, Bad Wurtemburg, Germany.

The twinning charter was signed on September 17 1988 at Denzligan.

North Hykeham is a similar size to Denzlingan and each is a suburb of a larger city with the local area being very similar.
Denziglan is in the region of Baden Wurtemburg and lies at the foot of the Black Forest close to Glottertal vinyards, within reach of the Kandel mountain. It is 8 KM from Freiburg and 4 KM from Emmerdingen within easy reach of Basle in Switzerland (approximately 60Km) and of the French border at 30Km.This border is in the middle of the river Rhine at Breisach.

The Black Forest, which is Germany's best known range of mountains and its favourite holiday region, covers an area 200KM by 60Km and has heights up to 1500 metres.

The Industry of the town is mainly agricultural, although there are some light manufacturing industries and it is the centre of a wine growing region.
