Willingham is twinned with Le Grand
Lucé a large village or small town in Sarthe; situated about 25 Km to the South east of Le Mans France.
The town is built mostly of stone quarried locally. The first visit to Le Grand Lucé took place in October
1986 when the charter was signed. The twentieth anniversary of the twinning took place in October 2006. It has a fine chateau with extensive gardens,, now a private property. Some years ago when the first twinners visited the town the Chateau was being used as a hospice. There is now a new hospital adjacent to the Chateau. Close
by is the Foret De Berce in which roam deer and wild boar. A small village on the edge of the forest
